Fever haunts me down

Dancers dance and dance

Singing songs, many songs

Her eyes close gently

As her hands touch my face once more

Her kiss was cold, but filled me with warmth

She runs into the snow

Looking back, her eyes filled with tears

Teardrops red as blood

She doesn't make it far

For her own was calling from above

She was only fifteen

When she dropped to her knees

As I watched from a dream

Oh fever you are

A dream which I can't remember

Yet it plays

Just as dancers dance and sing

There stood a little girl

Who cried and sobbed

Herself was forgotten

But I make her name remembered

Along with the story that was once hers
