Happy ever after is something everyone should achieve

My grandma 

My aunts

My cousin

They all found their happy ever afters

My mom is still waiting for hers

I am still waiting for mine

My mom asked if I thought my happy ever after was tied to hers

If she got back with my father 

Would it be both of our happily ever afters?

I think that it would be hers

I think my happy ever after lies somewhere far away from here

In another state

In another country

In another universe

I think my happy ever after is in the stars

I am not settled here

I want to wander, run, fly 

Far away from here

I will never be content to be still

I will always be restless

If I am never content to stay

Then what sense would it make 

For my happy ever after

To be where I am not 

How could they be here 

If I am constantly out there

What if my happy ever after

Isn't a person, place, or thing

What if my happy ever after

Is an idea?
