Dark green grass
among tall oak trees.
My town is a lonely town,
the loneliest I have ever seen.
Dark houses,
thick dust,
and bushy, gray clouds.
Bullet holes in stop signs,
abandoned corner stores.
People walking all alone
in the middle of the day.
A spooky graveyard
covered in low fog.
The church bell rings
but only a select few can hear it.
