i'm stargazing again
I’m stargazing again.
It’s been a week without you
4 days since we talked
And one hour since I cried
As mascara falls down my pale face
I hurt my heart
Thinking of my head on your chest
And my temples throb
Thinking of our hands interlocking
The clips of us dance around my mind
Like ballerina in a music box
Car rides with the windows down
Nights breeze blowing back your hair
Looking up at the stars
With your bright green eyes
I look sideways and smile
You always stood out to me
Much more than stars ever did
Movie nights which ended in naps
If only I could sleep again
Not having to wake up broken-hearted
As I look up at the stars alone
The dry salt from my teardrops
Is the only thing you left behind.

After having my first breakup I found comfort in poetry. I feel like when I write poetry, I convey my emotions and feelings into making sense for other people to understand and relate to. I hope you all enjoy :)
