Pour
I’ll pour.
I’ll keep pouring until your glass has overflowed two times over
and there’s nothing more coming from this pitcher.
I’ll pour so you don’t have to go searching for something to fill your glass that’s half empty.
Or half full.
Whichever way you see it…
I’ll pour
‘Cause I’d rather see you bloom than see you wither away.
And I’d rather feel drained as long as that smile on your face is still growing.
You can take all of me
And I would ask for none of you
Because at the end of the day, I couldn’t care less about whether or not
The life that was once in my eyes is still there…
As long as the life in yours doesn’t perish.
