A New Bloom
Beds of grass and tangled leaves
Lilac bloom to taint the greens
Moonlight buds to grasp at straws
in amber straights and pollen falls
From violet rays to morbid greys
In autumn’s breath the mountains stray
In mourning dreams our quiet place
Rests in prayer to heaven’s gate
Of calling quails and sprawling hills
In spraying sun to fevered quill
It dawns and dusks and comes and goes
In shimmering lights of dust and snow
In nights from ash from falling skies
The call of flames; a new bloom dies
