Summer
With your beautiful, blazing sun; With your fresh, breezy winds; All the world springs to life when Summer comes around;
All the kids are free from school when Summer comes to play; The children run barefoot through the grass; The parents relax by the poolside, while drinking a glass of lemonade;
Although the days are hot and sizzling; At nights are starry and cool; Summer is full of endless fun and cheerful days;
In the morning, we can choose to sleep in or watch our favorite cartoon; In the afternoon, we can go to the lake and swim for hours; In the evening, we can lie on the rooftop and name the stars or catch fireflies in the backyard;
Barbeques and baseball games; Family and friends; Summer romances and first kisses; If only Summer never had to end;
Family trips and Grandma's apple pie; Hot-dogs and ice cream; Neighborhood get-togethers and nighttime swimming;
The smell of sausages sizzling on the grill; The sound of lawn mowers in the neighborhood; Running through the sprinkler; Enjoying the sweet taste of refreshing watermelon;
Enjoying a game of volleyball or going for a surf; Wishing on dandelions and making memories;
Driving with the windows down; Feeling alive and happy; Laying on the beach with friends; Listen to the waves at the seashore;
Sitting in God's frying pan; So hot you could cook an egg on the sidewalk; Don't forget to add some bacon;
By the time Summer ends, we all have sun-kissed skin; The tans will fade, but the memories will last forever;
This is what Summer means to me; What does Summer mean to you?
