Summer in Boston
Lyrics pour out of open car windows
Small sails ride the lazy evening breeze
Iced coffee replaces warm spicy mugs
3 AM drinking slows down
and the city finally sleeps
Hoodies and sweatpants change into button down shirts
The bustling student metropolis gives way for relief
Ownership finally restored for natives and locals and both
The masses of hosted pupils eagerly depart
And the city resets
And every September
A never ending wave of youth returns
Infinitely young minds ready to be filled
Filling empty campuses and flooding sidewalks again
