I am my hair,

My hair is more than a cluster of strands
Every curl and wave a memory
Every style and cut a statement
The everchanging colors tell of a step in my journey

Brown, home and simplicity
Red, love and hope
Strawberry Blonde, spontaneity and freedom
Dark Brown, disillusionment and longing

My hair is more than a cluster of strands
Every change is a Renaissance
Every cut an expression
Every wave a reflection of an ungraspable past

I am my hair.

The author's comments:

I dye my hair frequently as a reflection of the obstacles or other events I'm facing in my life so I thought it should be put into words because I  know a lot of people can relate to it whether it's hair or another physical attribute. And I hope people will get that sometimes change is good and can promote confidence, but sometimes the simple choice is the best route to take.
