I don’t need a girl
Whose eyes sparkle so bright
That the sun pales in comparison
Like the dull dark of the night.

I don’t need a girl
Whose hair is silky and smooth,
Flowing with the breeze,
No lock misplaced or uncouth.

I don’t need a girl
Whose bosom is overgrown
That it makes balloons envious.
Yet, she insists aren’t silicone.

I don't need a girl
Who is sexually zealous
Whose fervent libido
Would make a rabbit jealous.

I don’t need a girl
Whose mind’s a computer
With an IQ so high
She was Einstein’s tutor.

Because, in the end, it doesn’t matter.
I need a girl my heart desires.
Her skills and looks will abate over time,
but if it’s love, she’ll still be admired.

I need a girl who I can cherish my entire life
Our bond still strong when we’re grayed
She will be my lover but my companion.
Circumstance will change but our hearts stay.

This is all I really need.
That’s the truth, and it’s enough.
Because that’s my one burning wish,
To find a friend to love.
