this is it
October 18, 2012
A dad held his new baby,
and whispered in his wife's ear,
“this is it.”
On that babies 1st birthday,
he kissed her on the head;
and said,
“This is it.”
He was there for her,
through the years,
all the challenges,
heart brake,
and the good.
All her do was kiss her on the head,
look into her eyes and say,
“This is it.”
The girl who is now 18
doesn't understand what he means,
until she was laying in a hospital bed.
Her dad came in the room crying,
he held her and said,
“This is it.”
He rocked her,
until she laid stone cold.
