But as they said goodbye, silent tears were shed.
There was a hole in his heart, which forever bled.
Their time was good, spent in good faith.
Something that seemed to never be erased.

"Those times were never rocky" the boy whispered to the sky.
"But now I lay here, just wanting to die."
"I thought I had known her, I guess I did not,
The only thing love gives you is a shot to the heart.
Whether love hits you with hormones or lead,
The bullets the same, the same words are said."

Every single time, the journey's always the same,
Sometimes you succeed, most times you get pain.
But we learn and grow, for we must survive,
We must fall and get back up, and lead our separate lives.

And some of these people that you meet and you hold,
Forever have a grip on your life. Their face carved into your soul.
And after they leave, seemingly stealing your heart,
Theres always another, a new place to make a new start.

Some say that blue ocean is vast, with many fish in the sea,
But you can catch yourself saying that "She was for me"
Others have told me if you truly love them, let them go,
My mind says, "fine", but my hearts cries out "no".

As you walk away, heart numb, seemingly forever,
You wonder if I did more, would we still be together?
But still the answer is no, nothing could ever be done.
Even if I got her the moon, or even the sun.

Her decision is made, her heart makes it true,
Too bad, tough luck, nothing you can do.
Keep on living this life, listen to those songs,
'Cuz you don't know what you got 'til its gone.

This is really good, especially if it's the 2nd poem you've ever written. It's sad, but I've always had a thing for the sad ones.
