The day you are born
you are so gentle and small
Not a clue in the world
and getting ready to fall
The day of your first birthday
you are ready to explore
Not a care in the world
but wonder how to open a door
The day you turn thirteen
you are ready for your life to begin
Not a clue in the world
but needing to fit in
Life will keep moving forward
into different phases of age
you will change your view of the world
as you move on to your next stage
