A girl lay on cool summer grass
Watching the moonlight
Allowing time to pass
Breathing softly, for once in her life

And the girl closed her eyes
A plane was about to pass overhead
It headed one way
But chose a different route instead

The pilot, dumfounded by the increase in speed
Looked down into the open field
And hoped for survival
As he heard the flight attendants squeal

The girl, now under a deep sleep
Thinking of ways to end her pain
Devising a plan
To end her last day

A strong wind came upon her face
The jet’s engines roared
She woke up, disoriented
And decided that she didn’t want to live anymore

The plane glided toward the ground
As her thoughts became clear
She examined the pilot’s eyes,
Filled with fear

Danger, heading straight toward her
Shielding away
The girl buried her face in the grass
And woke up in her bedroom, caught in a daze
