We walk around the track for those survivors
For the ones who are still fighting
We walk throughout the night to fight the killer
While another family out there is crying

We do all we can to raise the money
To find the cure we all so desperately need
We are all so joyful and happy
To help those people who are in need

The survivors start the relay
Then the rest of us join in
As we walk the track all day
Waiting for night to begin

We hope to do the best we can
This fight of ours has just begun

The author's comments:
For the past two years my school has been involved in a cancer walk. Where we walk around the track from noon to 12:01 am. We raise as much money as we can and the money we do raise goes to the National Cancer Society. It's a really good thing and it's a really big turn-out.
