Deep Gray to Sunshine Yellow

Before, I was a deep gray…
countless long, lonely nights,
thinking things through,
needing to start fresh like a writer frantically deciding they don’t like their novel,
realizing reality, is this how my life really is?
Now, I am a sunshine yellow…
Countless nights filled with love and laughter,
being able to relive the most memorable moments,
staring out my window at 6:30 pm, sun shining into my face like a warm hug
realizing reality, is this how my life really is?
This is how my life really is.
