A girl is searching for a hero

To save her land and home

From the approaching enemy

Their terrors so well known.

Her people’s destruction so close

She needs to make a move

She rings a bell so loud and clear

That calls the hero soon.

The bell, the ancient legends say

Will help in time of need.

Calls a hero, destined to save

And to him, their cause will plead.

Our girl hears the bell sing strongly

The hero is herself.

She does not understand the bell,

She could not be the one.

She does not think that she is brave

Or strong to save her town.

She’s just a simple peasant girl

Never any renown.

But the bell is singing louder,

It’s ever begging her

That she can find the courage to

Stand up and be stronger.

The sweet bell’s song empowers her

With trust in only God,

That they can stop the enemy

And her home will not be caught.
She marches to the camping ground

Of the fierce warriors

She does not know quite what to do

But then she rings the bell.

The sound roars through the enemy

They fall dead to the ground.

Their spears and swords drop soundlessly

Their horses crumple down.

A shudder ripples through the camp,

The world is deadly still.

And just because one brave-hearted girl

Stood up and did God’s will.
