From blue to orange to pink the sky changes
I’m intrigued at how the colors rearrange
Hearing the ocean waves crash after crash
Diving into the salted water with a splash
The breeze sends shivers down my spine as I get out
The colors will soon stop no doubt
With my toes covered in the sand
I reached down to dust it if off with my hand
With one last glance, I captured the alluring scene
Hoping everyone could see what I have seen
I hop in my car watching the birds migrate south
Only hoping I could remove the salt from my mouth
With a sad sigh, I said a final goodbye to the beach
A promise to return if it was within reach
