Loving Our Planet
The Earth continues to turn,
and still I sit and learn.
What a magical place we have stayed,
but still its loveliness begins to fade,
some do hope that it’s beauty is returned.
In the sights that do burn,
some still remain unconcerned.
We do not consider these thoughts delayed.
The Earth continues to turn.
We do also feel the sunburn,
which causes us great concern,
that we may have betrayed,
what continues to fade,
in hopes that these wrongs overturn.
The Earth continues to turn.
