Paranormal

I hear things
That others don’t.
There is a reason
I fear the dark.
I see things
That others can’t.

I talk to them,
These supernatural beings.
They used to be alive,
But because of foul play
Or horrible accidents,
They are forced to wander
This mundane world.

I come to them,
They seek me out.
I see visions
Of terrible events
Long after they occur.
That’s how they call me,
Their restless spirits chained
To the area where they died.

A soldier is said to have
Paranormal powers,
Supernatural strength.
It’s a constant battle
Between good and evil.

Always on guard,
Never relaxing.
These visions,
This strength.
Normal was never an option
For my life.
It’s always been
Paranormal.
