He was the shade of a rusting penny
His face was battered and bruised
He wore all black and a brim hat and dark brown boots
He was this bulky man but moved with the swiftness of a cat
His voice was very raspy and deep in a very unpleasing way
I just knew I had to get away
No please don’t hurt me
I stray away from the shadow as it comes near
I tumbled towards the light as I hear the man approaching the darkend hallway
I came back to this place with good intentions but instead i was a fly trapped in a spiders web
“How the hell do I get out of here?!”
Sweat trickled down my face
As the light bulb flickered to the sound of his chuckles
I had this gut feeling that I was on the verge of death
Really hoping I wouldn’t be dead by the end of the night
I yell “who are you” into the distance
Many thoughts raced through my mind in such little time
I slowly crept, having loss of breathe with every step
Going home safely was my goal, I prayed to God I got there safely
As I pushed my back against the wall I could feel his presence even though he wasn’t near
Too many things at risk and the most important thing is my life
“I wish i was just at home in my bed” I murmured to myself
As I ran, searching for a way to escape his presence
suddenly I came across two doors and a dead end
Tragically both doors were closed shut and locked with dark tented windows
“ I’m coming for you young lady, AHHAHA”
Is what I heard from a distance
I struck the window with all my might and my result wasn’t successful
“ CREAAAAAAAAK” went the floor board as the mysterious man turned the corner
As he crept towards me slowly i started to tremble with fear
I had no time to waste, this was my chance
With my unsteady hand struck the thick glass one more time and it cracked
Deep breathes was all i could take, safety and freedom was in my hands
