I want you all to realize how big this place can be.
I want you all to realize that some people cannot see;
that some people are not free.
Some children are at work right now.
Some children cannot breathe.

It would be nice if you all could realize,
what this place has come to be.
It would be nice if you all could realize,
the jokes we laugh at really aren't that funny.

Please tell me that you realize,
you have more than what you need.
I sure you know these people who starve,
would love to have that sip of
juice you just poured down your sink.
You will pay 2 dollars for band-aids when you bleed,
while some people have no choice but to wipe
their blood with their sleeve.

I really hope you realize the
depth of world wide pain.
The pain you won't ever have to see.
And you may cry.
And you may laugh.
But please promise me you will not let
ignorance become your better half.

I am completley inspired by my poetic brother. I feel this way about many of the things that are taken for granted today.
