lonely nights

Thoughts of you and i together still haunt me once in awhile during the lonely nights
When i think of you, night walks seem to make me forget all about you
Thinking of all our memories that slowly fade away into the fog
Tears dripping down my face as i remember your words “ i’m not gonna leave you i promise”
As i’m walking i disappear into the fog and take one last thought of you and i
i shut my eyes and my last tear slips to the ground
“There is no longer hope for you and i” i whisper
Forever goodbye to my first love
