My Happiness
Whack! Whack! Whack!
Every morning
I wake to the sound of
a wagging tail
repeatedly knocking
at my door
I am greeted with a
wet nose
and
slobbery kisses
Dog food lingers
from her breath
Jumping up and down
she is thrilled
that her person
is now awake
“Good morning Little Girl”
as she wobbles back and forth
on our way to
the coziest
place in the house
our livingroom

I wrote this poem because every morning I wake up already happy because my dog is there waiting for me, every day. She is very special to me, so I wanted to write about her.
