Surrendering through Victory

Surrender your dead horse
To the re-established church
So the clergy can absorb
Your "patented success."

Surrender your collective whole
For the benefit of humankind
So they can all die peacefully
Instead of in distress.

Ignore the impossible
And dance with the wolves
For they are only morbid
In the moonlight.

Surrender your checkbook
And deposit your inquiries
Into the collective whole
To extend man's span of life.

Extend the lifetime
Of a million goats
By a millennium,
For the sake of the landscape.

Surrender your glass heart
So that when someone else drops it
And it shatters into thousands of tiny fragments
You won't have to clean up the mess.
