preserverance
They’ve always said: Love is patient, Love is kind
I found out now, my whole life has been lies
For what they didn’t tell me: Love is Blind
Without sight, I can’t prevent stronger ties
He promised me so much and I believed
He provoked all my fantasies and dreams
But then I was left on my knees to plead
My dreams became nightmares, things weren’t as they seemed
My once beating heart was held in his hands
My trust and my life was no longer mine
Erased memories, footprints in the sand
To hear whispered voices saying I’ll be fine
A year has passed since then and I revived
Strength has replaced the tears I once cried
