Grass root, grass root
You are complex like living in a world where men are not fathers
Just men.

Grass root, grass root
you are wispy like hair blowing in the wind
before all the girls grew into women and discover hair dye.

Grass root, grass root
You twist and intertwine together like the first time
Boys and girls discover what bodies are.

Grass root, grass root
You are the marriage of sunlight and a need to survive.
You are infants crying for milk.
You are veins pumping blood to some green, delicate body.

Grass root, grass root
You are like having faith in God.
