I cannot forget this
Sing me to sleep with a kiss
Say my prayers and push me down
A fallen angel hits the ground
I surrender my unwilling eyes
Cut them out and throw them to the skies
Nothing that I have heard will save me
No key of salvation will ever set it free
A heart solidly choked with deceit
Memories are only an unwanted receipt
Here to remind me that I am wrong yet again
Little scripted words force my acceptance of sin

I cannot forget this
Sing me asleep with a kiss
Say my prayers and push me down
A fallen angel hits the ground
Its’ too late to push the dare
Only so many times will a little girl scare
Until her rag doll is pulled into shreds
Repeatedly tug at her and loosen her threads
Red yarn falls down from the rain
A blunt weapon in hand with a dark stain

I cannot forget this
Sing me asleep with a kiss
Say my prayers and push me down
A fallen angel hits the ground
Locked inside a box of those who infest
Pushing on the sides while you face your test
Mannequins reach for those with un-named brands
The ones who do not manicure their hands
Fake smiles and fake realities painted on their faces
Differentially is segregated like the races
