I stand in yoga
posture
ignore the water,
worship, full armed,
the sun god
the water changes
freezes
solid like a silver plate,
its polished scales
settle into
light
my eyes burn
sweat beads
salty in my teeth
all my skin shakes
the sun prickles
orange on ice
and my skin cracks and
breaks
my core rushes out
liquid metal
slaps dead against
the sea
