Fish Poem

The fish I ate at sushi today
made the biology in my body feel heavenly;
a perfect blend of bacteria and ocean.
The sensation brings me back to my physical creation,
my ancestral lineage in motion--
sailors, wives, and children.
All three archetypes exist within me
since I am created from thee.
Today, on the edge of a wooden chopstick,
I taste their catch from the sea.
