Walking on the Beach
It has been long since I have seen you
or witnessed water so blue
With a towel in my hand
and my feet surrounded by sand
I ran to the water, carrying my beach ball
captured by the view, I hoped I wouldn’t fall
the sun was in the sky and shining so bright
the wind was blowing, perfect for flying a kite
the water hit my feet
I knew I was in for a treat
As I ventured out into the distance
I moved passed the waves with persistence
As I reached a perfect spot
my umbrella in the sand was just a dot
The water so quiet, the sun on my face
my last day, and I would miss this place
