Darkness Within My Heart

Out in the dark corridor of my heart
I cry my forsaken tears
I have tried time and again to avoid my enemies
But they keep coming back
And after so much I told myself
'If someone laughs at a part of you no matter what you say or do,
You must erase or repress that piece of you so the laughing will stop'
And time and again I have done it
Everyone keeps invading my world
Destroying it with their words
It hurts
Why does everything hurt
Why does it hurt so much
Only a few short times
Are the shadows of my enemies
That constricts me with their words
Disappear from me
A hand reaches out and takes mine
Helping me walk through the emptiness
But the shadows return
And the hand disappears
Without giving me the chance to walk a few steps
And letting me see the face of the one who helped me
Their cruel words
Whip my legs and arms
Forcing me to fall in defeat
I have a choice
I can continue living with this
Or end it for eternity
But I can't go yet
I still need to thank him
Please don't leave me behind
I still need to tell you
That I like you
You're the first boy who ever treated me
Like a person
Like a human
Please don't treat me differently
After I tell you
I don't want that
I don't want that
Don't do that to me
