Pastel
Pastel
Raining colors on a sunny day
Blues, yellows, pinks
In the cotton candy clouds
Dripping
Dripping colors off the tin shingles
Swirling together
Watch them mingle
No signs of grey in this city here
The pastel pigments
Are dancing with the sky
They say the clouds
Are crying joy
Hear each drop 'pitter pat, pitter pat'
Soak in the sunshine
Feel the colors dripping
All around, all around
The mighty Painter's brush
Drops
The pastel raindrops
And floods the town
With shades
Of peace
And now
All is still.
All is still.
