I am a tree.
I wonder how I got here.
I hear the birds in my branches.
I see people walking by.
I want someone to see me.
I am a tree.
I pretend I am big.
I feel small.
I touch deep in the ground with my roots.
I worry I will get cut down.
I cry about that.
I am a tree.
I understand I will have to leave sometime.
I say I won't.
I dream of staying.
I try to believe that.
I hope I don't leave.
I am a tree.
