The farm dog

Black fur
Limping as he stepped on a spur
Greeting every animal and person with a warm heart
Chasing bunnies through the tall wheat
Laying under the pick up to get out of the heat
What's that
A bird
Sprinting through the grass
Knowing he'll never catch it
But loving to chase him fast
Panting after a hard tiresome day
But still he just wants to play
With a lick of some water
And the chop of some food
There the farm dog goes
Back to the grass where the cattle stood
