Moonlight
The way it weaves through the trees
Looking so pretty; shining with ease
As it flows along in the breeze
And highlights all the leaves
As it pours its way through windows
Its soft light bouncing off the wall
As it casts down on people's pillows
And makes all shadows tall
As it shines down from the sky
Making darkness somewhat bright
In our beds we all lie
When out comes the pale moonlight.
Without this gentle light so very dear
Our dark nighttimes would be filled with fear.
