Final Good-Bye

You see me smile but you don't see the hurt,
The pain, the lies all kept under my shirt,
Out side I am smiling but inside I'm in hell,
Locked away so far no one can hear me yell,
The one way out now seems so clear,
The razor on the sink sits against the mirror,
I pick it up and say the final good-bye,
Just as I place it to my wrist a picture appears in front of my eyes,
In the little girl's eyes the fear is consistent,
And the man who stole her innocents stands haunting her in the distance,
But she stands strong waiting to fly and be free,
Then I realize the little girl is me,
I was so young what I to do was,
I just stood strong and turned my gray skies to blue,
Now is the time to stand strong once more,
I fall to my knees and drop the razor to the floor,
I cry until I can't shed another tear,
Now the past I no longer have to fear,
I no longer feel the need to cry,
I've said to my pain the final good-bye.
