I remember
I remember the time you arrived,
It almost looked like you would take flight
Because you were so clumsy.
I had laughed so hard I recall,
That day I would never forget.
I remember that I helped you with your suitcases,
It was really interesting talkin with you.
You chatted with no end about your day,
But I didn't mind.
It fascinated me.
And so we arrived at your apartment,
We said goodbye to each other,
And we hugged,
And I walked away.
I recall the following morning as well,
While I was sleeping, and the phone rang loud,
And I fell out of my bed.
I answered it, and was very glad you wanted to see me.
"See you soon", I said, and I hanged up.
I met you at the restaurant,
And so we had breakfast and a chat.
It was sad to know you would move away again,
But if anything was certain,
It was that our friendship would forever last.
