I am
I am a daughter.
I wonder what I would do without my mom and dad.
I hear them talking to me.
I see my mom in the hospital, delivering.
I am excited.
I pretend not to be excited.
I feel the baby's soft toes.
I touch the baby's nose.
I worry it will be another girl.
I cry that it's a boy.
I am the oldest of three.
I understand he will grow up fast.
I say enjoy it while you can.
I dream that he will graduate.
I try not to be sad.
I hope I don't cry again.
I am ecstatic.
