Ignoring the Important
We as a society tend to ignore
the hurt, and the pain,
and the slamming doors.
We as a society tend to ignore
the stillness and the quietness
of thy neighbors next door.
The numbness and the sorrow
that sits still beneath us
falls into a blind sleep
that we tend to borrow.
We as a society tend to ignore
the death and the peace
that will soon come to war.
But now we sit and think to ourselves:
what could have happened
if we noticed it?
Should we pride oneself?

I think that we, as a society, do tend to focus on other things such as media. We're focused on the wrong thing. There are so many important things happening everyday in this world, and that's what we should be focused on. Not hate or evil or voilence.
