My life
I was 2 when I caught my first fish.
I jumped up and down repeatedly yelling at my mom to take a picture.
I cried after my dad put it back because I wanted to keep it as a pet.
I was 4 when I got my first goldfish.
I didn't stop smiling for hours.
I sat there in a chair staring.
I was 12 when I shot my first gun.
My hands were shaking from the adrenalin
I loved it, I kept saying again and again.
When my neighbor said I had to pass hunter safety first,
I grabbed the book and read through it 3 times before class even started,
t I aced the entire test.
Two weeks later I ended up shooting my first deer.
I couldn't move because of the amount of adrenalin running through my veins.
I just heard my dad say nice shot!
I snapped out of the trance I thought I was in and turned around,
And the smile on his face was like he won the lottery.
I was 15 when I grabbed the steering wheel of my father's truck for the first time.
I was 16 when I saw the score on my drivers test and right next to it was the word “passed”.
I held my excitement in until I got to the car,
And I flung the door open so hard it slammed shut.
I am 17 and I have just realized I will be an adult next year.
I have no idea what I am going to do after school.
Life continues even though I don’t know what to do next year.
