Lions Cry
Behind every growl, a tear fills His eye
So while He's on the prowl, inside He wants to cry
A drop of sorrow, two drops of shame
But the great fake facade must forever remain
A lie, a phony, undeniable deceit
But somehow He covers up short-commings and defeat
With howls of anger, mugs of hatred and vexation
When deep down He yearns for love and inspiration
Paws, claws..... sore cut, and raw
From the fight with denial, His insecurity's the flaw
But when around the others, and the light comes to reveal
His wounds of pain someway, somehow heal
Lions cry, Oh yes they cry
But only in secret, under night sky
So when the monkeys and tigers are sleep
Remember the Lions are left to weep
