Daddy's Princess
The wrong you’ve done
It’s rough like the trust
You’ve put in us
You did it.
You left again.
Why come?
If you’ll go
Remember those times
That I wrote you
You were locked away
In a dirty,dark cell
But, my letters were light
You never really listened
But, I talked and talked
Just yapping away
It’s all over now
All I can do is remember
So, why not?
Remember when……
You used to call me
Daddy’s Princess

The pain of my father being away inspired me to write this poem. The fact that he would leave and come back then leave again would kind of upset me. So, it was always a lingering question in my mind. Eventually I got tired of being bothered by it and started writing about it.
