Maryland
"You're gonna love it here!"
Those were the first words I heard
After we crossed the state line
The Main-line State, my new home
Already I missed the hot summer days
Longed for the snowy winters
This is not my home,
This horrible humid place
Wisconsin is where I belong
"But there's so much to do here"
Mother would protest when I complained
So many things to do
Experiences for us to share
How many times can you visit the same place?
Looking at the same big white house
It gets old after a while
As do the people here
Their pushy rudeness makes me cringe
I'd rather be in farm country
Than here in this crowded wasteland
