Prison

Locked in a cage,
full of rage.
Who has done this to me?
Why has he done this to me?
How had he done this to me?
Struggling behind bars,
screaming for help.
No one can hear,
no one can see,
no one can listen,
no one can look.
Despite my thrashing,
and my cries,
the cage will not open,
so many lies.
In resignation,
I look upward--
On a plaque,
displayed proudly,
my prison is named--
"Life"
