I remember explaining the
World I live in
The one that only
Has room for me
And maybe you
If you wanted to come
The world where
Things occasionally make sense
If only the sense that I can see
The world where everyone can
Understand the wind-whispers
And things like reality are a dream
And dreams are reality
I remember you looking at me
With some odd expression
And saying that I was crazy
Or that you were crazy
Or maybe we were both crazy
And I had laughed
And told you that the sky
Was blue because
It felt like being blue
And no one had the guts
To tell it to stop
I told you that I wanted to
Drown in the sky
Except not die
I didn't want to die
And you said that it
Was implied when I said words
Like drowning
And I told you that
Words don't mean anything
Except what they want to mean
And maybe drowning didn't want
To mean drowning
I remember you telling me
That I was original
And interesting
And unique
And I told you that trees are tall
And that they get that way
By growing
And that flattery doesn't help them any
So why should I help me?
