A Desparate Fall

Can I reach and touch the stars
With a single stroke of my arm?

Can I walk up mountains
Without wishing for wings?

There's a single stone
Hidden in my sling;

It's waiting to move until
You find the strength to swing.

Don't fall for someone
Unless they are willing to catch you.

All the hate in the world is
Covered in a golden hue.

Reach for the stars, so if you fall,
You'll land on a cloud.

Don't let yourself fall
When you have nothing at all.
Nothing to live for anymore,
Waiting for your heart to soar.
I can't keep waiting and waiting;
My heart is slowly breaking.

Wanting to finally have a reason to live
My anger builds up, something has to give.
Sitting nowhere near the sun
Staring down a loaded gun.
A single desparate fall
Can bring down it all.
