If God would send his angels into the pit of hell
How would the tortured sinners hear the hallelujah bell?
If God would send his angels into the lions den
How would the retribution sever beast from men?
If God would send his angels into the smallest heart
How would the people notice which pain was ripped apart?
And if God would send his angels into this life of scars
Could we at all be bothered to make them welcome, ours?
