Beethoven: String Quartet No. 15 in A Minor
The slender fingers bend and dance like the bristles on the brush of the painter
As each dancer performs her own ballet on her own tightrope.
Synchronicity is key to the dancers as they pirouette on the neck of the violin.
Every step is practiced and every leap controlled,
And when they land honesty flies from the strings,
And the notes do a dance of their own,
Before falling upon the faces in the crowd.
And just like that the brush, as if by magic,
Paints tears back into the eyes of the mourner,
And a grin on the man who has yet to suffer.
