Dreaming
Dreaming
After every long day, after every waking hour
You lie in bed, close your eyes, and open your mind.
As your mind drifts off into another realm,
You imagine unrealistic pictures.
These dreams are true or mythical,
And always unexpected.
You dream about love and life,
Flying and falling,
Hopes and fears,
And colors and feelings.
You dream about animals and characters,
Family and friends,
Music and movies,
And the night sky and the beautiful sunsets.
After hours of sleep and bliss,
You dream will fade and you will begin a new day
Only to soon dream again.
